Mo Tiles was founded by Monique de Meyere to sell artisan tiles. After a renovation, she had some glass panels left over, and as an experiment, used oil paint to paint a red lobster on one of them. After creating several glass paintings, she decided to use them to use them for making tiles.

The designs on glass proved to be ideal for images on tiles, as the colours really stand out. She was also drawn to the fact that tiles are durable, so you can enjoy them for a long time, and that they are easy to look after. What’s more, with a decorative tile, you can choose to hang it up, stand it on a surface or use it as a coaster.
